ERIC FINANCIAL PROTECTION INSURANCE IS DESIGNED TO:

  • Cover your vehicle finance repayments if you find yourself unable to work due to illness or injury
  • Cover your vehicle finance repayments if you become involuntarily unemployed

An excess period of the first 21 days of disability or involuntary unemployment applies during which time benefits are not payable.

Equity Protection Insurance (EPI)

In the unfortunate event that your vehicle is written off or stolen and not recovered there may be a difference between what your comprehensive insurer pays you for your car and the balance owing on your finance.

EQUITY PROTECTION INSURANCE COVER FROM ERIC INSURANCE:

  • Where the total loss occurs in first 36 months of cover, the EPI payout is the greater of:
    • the difference between the Replacement Vehicle Value of the vehicle and the total loss payout from the comprehensive insurer; or
    • the difference between the balance owed on your finance as at the date of the total loss, and the total loss payout from the comprehensive insurer.
  • Where the total loss occurs after the first 36 months then the payout is the difference between the balance owed on your finance as at the date of the total loss, and the total loss payout. (only applies where your vehicle is subject to a finance contract)
  • Additional benefits to help cover out of pocket expenses such as accommodation, car hire and personal items
  • No Excess on claims
Replacement Vehicle Value - the value determined by Eric at the time the insurance commences and cannot exceed the purchase price of the vehicle.
